The seventh Earl of Jersey (Sir Victor Albert George Child-Villiers, 1845-1915) was the 17th Governor of New South Wales from 1891 to 1893.
This collection was previously catalogued at A 979. The letters were originally adhered to non-acid free pages in a bound volume bearing the signature of David Scott Mitchell. The volume had missing front and end boards. The letters were removed and transferred to an acid free box and a cutting of the signature retained.
This collection was listed as part of the Sesquicentenary of Responsible Government in NSW 1856-2006 Project. - Subject
