    Sydney Exposures exhibition caption: Spring fashions, Randwick, 6 October 1937 : The 1937 A.J.C. Carnival was said to be 'the most brilliant spring race week that Sydney has had for years'. The women's editor of the Melbourne 'Australasian' praised Sydney women for wearing posies of flowers, 'which brightens the plainest suit for a gala occasion'.
