  • General note

    From curator's acquisition notes, 2002,:
    It would seem that this drawing depicts two young Aboriginal men from the Nepean district Pellion met whilst staying at Regentville in late November 1819.
    It was not published in the 'Atlas historique of the official account of the expedition, Voyage autour du monde ...', 1825.
    Tara, the figure on the left wearing a tail coat, appears - upper body only - in plate 100 of the 'Atlas historique' (see PXD 923/2-5) but with his right sleeve, in tact in this drawing, missing.
