    Objects - 1 whip, black woven exterior, slightly tapering from the base with carved metal ferrule at the base and a smaller carved metal ferrule approx. 23 cm. above the base, finishing with a frayed rope tip - 98 cm. long - leather tie around the shaft between the 2 ferrules

  • General note

    The whip at one time had on the top a small golden statue of a horse. It is the replica of a famous trophy called "The Whip" which is still competed for in Irish horse racing. Source: Library Officer, Sept. 1962
