    Convict Francis MacNamara (1811-1861) was popularly known as 'Frank the Poet' and Frank Goddard. He was employed by the Australian Agricultural Company.

    Title verse continues: composed at Stroud, A.A.Co.'s establishment at [?] New South Wales. Composed and written Oct. the 23rd day Anno 1832.
    Other verses are:
    A Petition from the Chain Gang at Newcastle to Capt. Furlong the Superintendent praying him to dismiss a scourger named Duffy from the cookhouse and appoint a man in his room [by] Frank McNamara.
    Francis McNamara of Newcastle to [J?] Crosdale Esq. ["For the company underground"]
    A petition from the A.A.Co. flocks at Peel's River on behalf of the Irish Bard.
