Henry Septimus Badgery (1840-1917), stock and station agent and parliamentarian, was the son of Henry Badgery and his wife Mary Ann, nee Reilley. Henry Septimus established the firm of Pitt, Son & Badgery with Robert Pitt and was managing director for over thirty years. Henry Septimus Badgery was elected a member of the NSW Legislative Assembly for the seat of East Maitland (1878-1880) and for Monaro (1880-1885). He was Secretary for Public Works (1885). - Description source
