    1187. Arrival at Longreach of the Armstrong Whitworth F.K.8 on the inaugural flight of the first Qantas service Charleville-Cloncurry. Pilot P.J. McGinness (4th from r); Engineer W.A. Baird (left). The bag (Longreach's first airmail) can be seen behind the man in white. 85 year old Alexander Kennedy, first passenger on a regular Qantas service is on McGinness' right, joining the service at Longreach and flying on to Cloncurry piloted by Fysh (2nd from r). Sir Fergus McMaster, Chairman of Directors, Qantas is 3rd from r.
