  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Private George Thomas McClintock, boundary rider of Parramatta, New South Wales enlisted at the age of 21 years, 15 September 1914 and embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A38 Ulysses, 22 Dec. 1914. He was in the Australian Army Medical Corps, attached to the 13th Battalion, 4th Division, later transferring to the 17th Battalion, 12 Nov. 1917. He served in Gallipoli in 1915, Malta in 1916, France in June 1916 and Belgium in Nov. 1917. He was wounded at Gallipoli 26 Aug. 1915 and again 8 Sept. 1915. In Feb. 1918 he transferred to the infantry. He returned to Australia on the Kasir-a-Hind, 24 Sept. 1918
