  • Scope and Content
    This collection includes portraits of members of the Pinhey, Fitz Stubbs and Bingle families. It includes a photograph of Paris-based singing teacher Madame Mathilde Marchesi (Dame Nellie Melba's teacher) and photographs of her former pupil Rosina Pinhey in opera roles. Rosina Pinhey's stage name was Rosina Sydna. Also included are photographs of 2 family residences and a monument to William Wills in Totnes, England. Sizes refer to the measurement of the image only.

"Memorial of the gallant service rendered ... in the Great War by Private Royden Hoadley Pinhey (25th Battalion). Presented by the residents of Rockhampton and District in grateful and proud recognition of the sacrifice he made for the maintenance of a righteous cause and the freedom of mankind. Rockhampton 28th June, 1919. Born 21st April 1884. Enlisted 1st June 1915. Served Gallipoli and France. Killed in action July 1916"
