• Scope and Content
  Folded, white shirt cuff with a pair of buttonholes on both edges.
  
  Obverse reads: 'On Active Service. Miss M. Bailey, "Tara" David Street Marrickville Sydney Australia'.
  
  There is also a postal marking '30 No 17' and a triangular stamp consisting of a crown and 'passed by censor No. 4321', signed 'R B Hedley' [?] in pencil. 'L 208 Belfast 27 Leinen Garantiert 4 Fach' is stamped at left.
  
  On reverse the letter is addressed from 'Somewhere in Palestine 25th Nov. 1917' to 'Dear May' from 'Rob'. Letter mentions that the card was obtained from a German officer's kit as well as other souvenirs during the German retreat.
