Created by letters patent, 9 March 1826, by the name of Trustees of Clergy and School Lands in the Colony of New South Wales; and by Act 7 George IV No. 4, 2 August 1826, the Orphan School Estates were vested in the Corporation; these letters patent were revoked on 1 January 1831 and five Commissioners appointed to manage the affairs of the Corporation. It was dissolved by an Order in Council 1833. It was sometimes referred to as Church and School Corporation. - Subject
