The collection includes a bookplate for Maury Maverick from Texas USA with a copy of an article about Maverick sending 'Australian FitzPatrick my bookplate ...'

The collection probably belonged to George Fitzpatrick, editor of the Sydney Sunday Times. Fitzpatrick made a request for copies of book plates of prominent people in The Milwaukee Journal May 18 1929 p.6 `Book plates wanted'
