About the Catalogue:
Users of this catalogue should be aware that, in some Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander communities, seeing the names and/or images of deceased persons may cause
sadness or distress, particularly to the relatives of these people.
This catalogue contains records of the
manuscripts,
oral history and
pictures collections
of the Mitchell Library, Sir William Dixson Library and Dixson Galleries.
The catalogue contains records for material catalogued since 1992.
Materials catalogued prior to 1992 are listed in the card catalogues which can be consulted
in the Mitchell Library Reading Room.
Copies of images in this database may be saved or printed for private research/study.
Any other use requires
permission from the State Library of New South Wales.
