    Lynda Boland was a trade-union official at the Redfern Mail Exchange in the 1970s and later a union organiser at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She is involved with a number of left wing organisations including the Communist League and has also been active in the women's liberation and anti-apartheid movements.
